Graveside services for Eleanor Williams Walton, 83, of Washington, were held Thursday, October 8, 2009, in Resthaven Cemetery with Rev. Gale Seibert officiating. She died Tuesday, October 6, in the Medical College of Georgia hospital, Augusta.

Mrs. Walton was a native of Breckenridge, Kentucky, and was the daughter of the late S.W. Williams and Lura Butler Williams. She had worked at Almar Manufacturing Co. and was also a teacher's aide. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Washington.

Survivors include her husband, Thomas Walton of Washington; four sons and three daughters-inlaw, Michael and Johanna Walton of Warner Robins, Shelby and Betty Walton of Lincolnton, James Walton of Washington, and Brian and Becky Walton of Appling; a sister, Jeanetta Drain, Hudson, Ky.; a brother, L.K. Williams, Buckingham, Va.; eight grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers included Tommy Walton, Jeremy Walton, David Walton, Nick Walton, Dan Allen, and Dwayne Slaton.

Hopkins Funeral Home of Washington was in charge of arrangements.
