The home of Addison and Patti James on Stoney Ridge Road was the scene of a birthday celebration honoring Denny and Charlotte (Kitty) Schulte of Martinez on Saturday, October 10.

Hostesses for the celebration were Mrs. Schulte's daughters, Patti James, Karen Paschall-Hammond of Augusta and Brenda Doyle of Evans.

A festive fall theme was used in decorating. Hay bales, scarecrows, pumpkins, cornstalks and a cornucopia carried out the theme. Tables featured small Mason jars filled with votives nestled in black-eyed peas. Orange and white polka dotted ribbon were tied around the mouths of the jars for accent.

Guests enjoyed a cookout of hot dogs and chili with all the trimmings. Topping off the meal was a delicious birthday cake which featured the couple's initials.

Celebrating with the guests of honor were Addison and Patti James and family, Jacob and Whitney Richards and Haley James of Washington and Haley's guest, Cody Savage of Loganville; Brenda Doyle and family, Bert and Jennifer Nichols, Gray and Aiden, and Jared and Nichole Doyle, Hunter and Shaylee, of Augusta, Amy Murphy, Sydney and Skylar, and Mandy Doyle of Evans; Lanier and Dianne Bridges of Watkinsville and Karen Paschall- Hammond of Augusta.
