Asst. Chief Glenn completes REMI law enforcement education program

2009-10-15 / Personalities

Assistant Chief Theodosia Glenn of the Washington Police Department has successfully completed the Rural Executive Management Institute (REMI), an executive management education program that was held September 21-24 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

The classes were presented by a faculty of experts brought together by the National Center for Rural Law Enforcement (NCRLE), an organization based in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Assistant Chief Glenn has been with the Washington Police Department for 25 years. Her participation in the REMI program reflects her commitment to education and her dedication to providing quality law enforcement in Washington.

The Rural Executive Management Institute, a premier four-day education and training course, was designed exclusively for the rural sheriff and chief of police, a group often ignored when this type of education is presented.

The course is designed to mirror the educational programs that are currently available to urban departments and foreign law enforcement officials through the National Executive Institute and the Law Enforcement Executive Development Seminar conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Instructors for the course are selected from experts renowned in their field, and topics include Leading in Law Enforcement.
