TO THE EDITOR:

I would like to thank the wonderful people at The News-Reporter for donating their old papers to the Washington-Wilkes Animal Shelter.

I started helping Miss Gloria [Wheatley] a few weeks ago. She has so much to do. I wish I could do more. Collecting newspapers for use at the Shelter seemed to be one small way I could help.

When y'all agreed to let me have some papers I was ecstatic. I didn't want to seem greedy. I know you give to other causes.

I just wanted to let you know myself how much I appreciate this gesture.

Thank you for helping out a wonderful lady.
