Woman escapes serious injury in Highway 78 crash

A Hall County woman says an oncoming car forced her off the road on Highway 78 near Rayle last Friday. Her car left the roadway and traveled some 200 feet through fences and heavy underbrush before coming to a stop in the front yard of a home. She escaped serious injury although the car knocked down a power pole and live electrical wires. Rayle Volunteer Fire Department, Washington Fire Department, Wilkes EMS, and Rayle EMC crews responded to the accident, along with Georgia State Patrol troopers and Wilkes County deputies.
