Geneva Virginia Freeman

Funeral services for Geneva Virginia Freeman, 84, of Greensboro Road, Washington, were held Wednesday, November 4, 2009, at McLendon Memorial Chapel, Washington, with Rev. Ricky Lockhart officiating. She died Saturday, October 31, at her home.

Mrs. Freeman was born in Atlanta to the late Alice Zellar Thomas and John Hightower. She attended New Salem Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Emory Freeman of Washington, and Gary Freeman of Ellenwood; a daughter, Deborah Freeman of Denver, Colorado; a brother, Rufus Mersier of Decatur; three grandchildren, Erik Freeman, Erika Freeman, and Dejuante Williams; and a greatgrandson.

McLendon Memorial Funeral Home of Washington was in charge of arrangements.
