The students whose art will be shown are as follows: Wishah Aamir, Aaliyah Berry, Quantavious Blackwell, Faith Bradford, Ariel Brown, Payton Burriss, Miles Chafin, Jai Li Chen, Wendy Claver, Zachariah Collazo, Logan Denard, Cecilia Eligio, Nikita Fair, Tremond Ferrell, Matthew Fox, Kasey Gowen, Austin Hackney, Alana Kemp, Sha- Quana Kendrick, Amy McAvoy, Andrew Miller, Darien Pender, Tayla Pope, Marlyse Sifre, Kathleen Storrin, Tabatha Welch, Dominique Wellborn, and Donjai Willis. All artists are students of Melanie Stokes, art teacher for the middle and elementary schools, who set up the display. Make sure to go by and support these students!

If you go to McDonald's 5:30-7 p.m., Tuesday, November 17, you will be in for a treat. W-WMS Principal Bill Pendrey, Assistant Principal Deleki Lee, and Teacher of the Year Katy Meech will be rotating through all stations to serve the customers. This event is to collect money for the Ronald McDonald House.

Niki Bailey's seventh grade life science classes have been studying about heredity. To demonstrate their learning, they created a poster about themselves called, "Is This Really Me?" The students put their picture in the center of the poster and surrounded it with 12 Punnett squares for physical characteristics, such as height, hair color, widow's peak and dimples. Each characteristic has a dominate trait and a recessive trait. The Punnett squares show how the students inherited their characteristics from their parents.

In basketball, W-WMS faced Lincoln County at home, November 5. The Lady Tigers had a weak start with a score of 4-14 in the first half. They came back with a strong finish, but fell short with a 30-38 loss. Aaliya Berry scored six, Ariel Lewis scored five, and T'Alexius Cullars scored 19 to give them 30 points. They had strong defense by Darien Pender, and Brittany Gresham.

The boy's team had an exciting 41-20 win. Leading scorers were Chris Jackson with a whopping 14 points, followed by Christian Keiser with 11 points. Other high scorers were Vincent Wilkinson with nine points and Tomarkus Young with six points. The defense stepped up with stealing the ball from the guards and grabbing rebounds.
