State Troopers from the Washington Post of the Georgia State Patrol investigated 20 traffic accidents during the month of October in Wilkes County.

Sergeant First Class Andrews said the traffic crashes resulted in seven injuries. There were no traffic deaths.

SFC Andrews said troopers from Post 17 also issued 93 traffic citations in the county during the month. The total includes four arrests for driving under the influence; 51 citations for speeding; eight seat belt violations; and three child restraint violations. Troopers also issued 175 warnings.
