Church Sunday morning with a very informative sermon titled "Freedom or Forgiveness" by Rev. Jim Newsome. The beautiful congregational singing was led by Joyce Fry with Pam Hall playing the piano. There were many praises and prayer requests given. The children were called to the altar for their message by the pastor. Afterwards they went to the annex for children's church with Cody Armour. ƒFamily night was hosted by Peggy Echols and Martha Hall Sunday evening with a delicious fellowship meal. Mission meetings were held afterwards. Prayer meeting was at the Echols Home Wednesday evening. We welcome anyone to attend any or all of these services. ƒSunday morning will be a dedication ceremony of the shoeboxes for "Operation Christmas Child." ƒChristmas play practice is every Sunday evening at 5 p.m. ƒCongratulations to Justin Armour and Audra Chapman who were married at the First Baptist Church in Washington Saturday afternoon. Many of the community attended the wedding. ƒWe are so proud of Kaitlyn Porter who was student of the month for October of her kindergarten class at Washington- Wilkes Primary School. and names are posted and you might see someone you know. ƒBonnie Boatwright joined Helen Smith and Gertrude Jones of Crawford Thursday for a trip to Augusta and Thomson where they browsed around and had a mid-afternoon meal at Ryan's. ƒGuests of Billy and Doris Walker Sunday were Mike and Debra Sherrer, Whitney and Reese Taylor, Lindsey Sherrer and friend Drew, Sidney and Cheryl Walker, Alex and Taylor, John and Becky Orr, Walker and Isabella of Dacula, Cliff and Janet Lewis, Ashton and Heyden of Athens. They were celebrating Doris and Ashton's birthdays. ƒBonnie Boatwright, Martha Jones of Bogart, Frankie Jones of Athens and James Smith of Stephens attended the funeral of their cousin, Joe Ellis Mc- Cannon, in Danielsville Tuesday of last week. Afterwards, Wayne Williams joined them for lunch at Rachel's Cafe in Watkinsville. ƒKim Berry celebrated her birthday Friday, October 30, along with her family. ƒClyde and Sandy Whittington went to Crawford Saturday to watch Avery Hall play in his baseball game. ƒBrooke Berry spent several days in Wills Memorial Hospital with a stomach virus and dehydration. She came home Tuesday and is doing fine now. ƒFaye Johnson of Gray is with her sister, Ruby Arnold, following surgery in Athens last week. ƒRichard Burkett, Joann Perez, and Frances Fendley attended a basketball game in Washington Thursday night to see Dominique Welborn play. ƒAngie Paul and Ashtyn visited Johnny and Kathryn Shedd Sunday afternoon. ƒNeil and Kim Frankel, Zachery, Kyle, and Bryce enjoyed Sunday dinner with Clyde and Sandy Whittington in celebration of Neil's birthday which was Monday, November 9. ƒGeorge and Mozelle Casey visited Frances Fendley Thursday. ƒBuck and Linda Echols had all of their children and their families to spend Sunday with them. ƒSandy Whittington attended the wedding of Justin Armour and Audra Chapman Saturday afternoon.
ƒBonnie Boatwright visited Brooke Berry and Kaidyn in Washington Wednesday morning and they enjoyed eating at the Huddle House. I also visited Brooke, Kaitlyn, Bryson and Kaidyn Saturday. Sunday, Brooke, Kaitlyn, Bryson, Kaidyn, and I had Sunday dinner with Lamar and Kay Berry and Trey Berry who was home for the weekend from Athens where he is a student at the University of Georgia. ƒOur hearts go out to the families of Emilie Rorie, Chris Bentley, Mary Lou Bell Hall, Willie Joe Fanning, James Edward Davis, and Edward Garrett Dunson. ƒRichard Burkett, Joann Perez, Frances Fendley and Peggy Shockley went to the fall festival in Tignall Saturday and continued on to the fall festival in Elberton. ƒ Please remember in prayer, Nina Boatwright, Levi Boatwright, Karan Newsome, Sherry Newsome, Troy Chafin, Jenelle Newsome, Grady Rogers, Wiley Crittenden, Luanne Brown, Cathy Lannae, Willis Sherrer, Blanche Armour, Brooke Bentley Pearson, Brenda Bunch, Calli Nickels, Marty Echols, Thelma Favor, Eric Arnold, Travis Adams, Maude Mauldin, Nancy Moon, Frances Vinson, Faye Johnson, Robert and Edythe Harper, Morrison Maxwell, Marion and Millie Mansfield, Tom Bufford, Bill Bennett, and Curtis Tanner. ƒKay Berry, Brooke Berry, Kaitlyn and Kaidyn Porter went to the fall festival in Tignall Saturday. ƒWe want to welcome Joey and Terri Collins and children into the community. They have moved into the home of the late Fred and Ann Corbett on Sardis Road. ƒRuby Arnold, Kim Berry, Aaliya and Aniyah recently went to Rossman, N.C., to the home of Mary Grace Owen and family where they celebrated the birthday of Grace who was two years old.
