The Christmas Tree of Love sponsored by the Wills Memorial Hospital Auxiliary to benefit the hospital will have its fund-raising program during November and December. Donations in memory or in honor of loved ones and friends to light the tree are $5.00 each. The lighting ceremony will be held during the Downtown Candlelight shopping on The Square Tuesday, November 24, at 6:30 p.m. Donations may be mailed to 120 Gordon Street, Washington 30673.

The Class of 1995 will meet November 28 2 p.m., at the Pizza Hut.

The First United Methodist Men will have a chicken barbecue dinner available to the public on Saturday, November 21, 11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Cost is $7.00 per plate and you may eat-in or takeout.

The 13th Annual Pioneer Day will be held at the Lincoln County Historical Park, 147 Lumber St., November 21, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be living history demonstrations, family entertainment, Southern cooking, antique tractors, a turpentine still, and much more. The annual Episcopal Church of the Mediator Christmas Bazaar and lunch will be Saturday, December 5, at the Parish House. The bazaar begins at 10:30 a.m., and the luncheon is at 11:30 a.m.

Charlotte Ritchie will be in concert at the Lincolnton First Assembly of God on Sunday, November 15, at 6 p.m. Ritchie previously sang with Jeff and Sheri Easter before embarking on a solo career several years ago.
