Jessica Lynn Ward marries Christopher Shaun Nale
Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Shaun Nale Jessica Lynn Ward of Harlem and Christopher Shaun Nale of Martinez were united in marriage in a lovely double-ring ceremony Friday, October 30, at three-thirty o'clock in the afternoon at Chapel in the Glen in Gatlingburg, Tenn. Rev. Ray Santiago of Gatlinburg officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Carol Palmer of Harlem and Steven Ward of Tampa, Fla. She is the granddaughter of Dennis and Julia Palmer of Washington and Jack and Renate Jansen of West Columbia, S. C.
The bridegroom is the son of Carl and Lola Nale of Grovetown and the grandson of the late Tellis and Lillian Nale of Charlton, Mass., and the late Earl and Lila King of Millinocket, Me.
A program of pre-recorded music was used for the ceremony.
Mr. Nale served as his son's best man. Groomsmen were James Ward of Enid, Okla., brother of the bride, and Christopher Nale and Kayden Nale of Martinez, sons of the bridegroom, were junior groomsmen.
Ashleigh Gay of Harlem was the matron of honor. Her clover green gown was fashioned with a strapless bodice enhanced with a front vee inset and a full-length A-line skirt.
The bridesmaid, Heather Strickland of McAllen, Tex., was attired as the matron of honor.
Savannah Nale of Martinez, the bridegroom's daughter, was the junior bridesmaid. Her clover green gown was designed with a spaghetti strap bodice and long skirt.
All the attendants carried mixed bouquets of Alstroemeria lilies and rosebuds.
The bride was escorted by her father and grandfather, Mr. Palmer, and given in marriage by her parents. She was stunning in her strapless white gown fashioned with an all-over sequined bodice. The full ball gown tulle skirt fell gracefully from the fitted dropped waist.
Her shoulder-length veil, enhanced with a roll-hem edging, trailed from a tiara headpiece.
Her large mixed bouquet was finished with ivory ribbon.
Dinner reception
Following the ceremony the bride's grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Palmer, hosted a traditional family dinner at the cabin at Treetops in Pigeon Forge, Tenn.
Among the guests attending in addition to the wedding party, the couple's parents, and the bride's grandparents were the bridegroom's sisters and family, Carla Nale and Dakota and Jodi Heller and Dillon, all of Harlem.
