Katie Flake and Blain Echols honored at engagement party
Kathryn (Katie) Flake of Augusta and Blain Echols of Guyton were honored at an engagement party on Saturday, October 24, at Tabor Baptist Church in Tignall.
Hosts for the occasion were Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Echols of Conyers, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Echols and Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Wilson of Tignall, and Mr. and Mrs. Clay Patrick of Guyton.
For the occasion the bride-elect wore a short-sleeved black dress with a tucked waist complemented with red accessories.
A fall theme was used in decorating.
Family and friends enjoyed a barbecue with all the accompaniments.
A cake decorated as a Gulfstream jet, in keeping with the prospective bridegroom's career, with a Medical College of Georgia insignia honoring the bride-elect's studies at MCG, was served for dessert.
More than 60 family members and friends gathered for the celebration. Among the special guests were the bride-elect's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cary Flake, and siblings, Kori, Christopher and Carson, of Concord; the prospective bridegroom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Steve Echols of Tignall, and siblings, Merritt Echols of Augusta and Taylor Echols of Athens; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James E.
