Cravens honored for 35 years of McDonald's service / ownership

David Cravens, local McDonald's owner/operator was recognized at a reception held in his honor for 35 years of service. The reception, held at the J.W. Marriott Hotel in Atlanta, was attended by over 500 persons including his wife, Janie; daughter Jennifer; her husband, James; and granddaughter, Sarah Grace.

Cravens began his McDonald's career nine days after his honorable discharge from the U.S. Army in 1974. For the past 35 years, he has held positions of shift manager, restaurant manager, supervisor, and director of operations. He was awarded his own restaurant franchise, the Washington McDonald's, in 1996.

As an owner operator, Cravens has served as president of the Augusta CoOp of McDonald's Owners/ Operators, East Division Breakfast Team, and is a member of the board of directors of the Augusta Ronald McDonald House.
