Taylor Randall, a senior at Presbyterian College in Clinton, S.C., has amassed an impressive record of activities and accomplishments at the college during the past four years.

On November 12 and 14, Taylor was cast as Lady Billows in Benjamin Britten's opera, "Albert Herring," presented by The Presbyterian College Opera Workshop. The opera is a lively and comedic chamber opera, in many ways reminiscent of operettas of Gilbert & Sullivan with its farcical portrayal of prim and proper Victorian life.

Taylor is the granddaughter of Jo and Buzzy Randall of Washington- Wilkes and the daughter of Kim and Randy Randall of Clinton. She expects to receive her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theater and Vocal Performance in May 2010.

During her elementary and high school years, Taylor participated in many school musicals and community theater productions. Other operas to her credit include the role of Goldentrill in "The Impressario;" Spirit in "Dido and Aneas;" Don Pelagio in "La Canterina;" Gretel in "Scenes from Hansel and Gretel;" and Cunegonde in "Scenes from Candide."

The talented student has special skills in comedic acting, piano, improvisation, and Accents (New York, Midwestern, Southern, and English.) She has participated in Master Classes with Stage Combat with The National Players Theater Company; and Improv Training with The Second City and The Have Nots. She is a frequent soloist with her church, the First Presbyterian Church of Clinton.

Taylor is also active in theatre, having starred and participated in "Quilters;" soloist in "Jacques Brel's Alive and Well and Living in Paris;" and "The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged.)."
