Explains meat inspection practices

Glen Echols, Program Manager for the Georgia Department of Agriculture Meat Inspection Section, explained the history of legislation and regulations relating to meat inspection and how the system has developed since it started in 1906. Echols said the section's function is to insure safety and truth in processing and packaging meat in the state of Georgia. Buddy Lindsey (right) was program host for the day.
