Christmas parade on Dec. 13 will have 'Winter Wonderland' theme

The Washington-Wilkes Christmas parade will be held Sunday, December 13, at 3 p.m., using as a theme, "Washington-Wilkes' Winter Wonderland."

The parade will line up at the Pope Conference Center on Lexington Avenue and will end at the Washington-Wilkes Elementary School on East Street, just off East Robert Toombs Avenue.

The parade committee is looking for entrants for the parade. Some suggestions are antique and midget cars, motorcycle groups, and floats. The committee is encouraging participation from churches, civic groups, youth groups, sports teams, as well as dance teams, clubs and organizations.

The entrance fee is $5.00 per group or organization and all proceeds will be given to the Washington Shriners.
