There's not much news this week since my editor asked for news to be turned in by Friday for early publication for this week. .James and I went to Tignall Baptist Church Tuesday for the senior program and Thanksgiving luncheon. The guest speaker was Homer from Homerville aka Rev. Waldroup of Union Point. He is quite funny. He put on a cute skit and kept us laughing. Everyone enjoyed it and also the delicious lunch. .Juanita Bradford and Trudy Sutherland went to Augusta Tuesday and again on Thursday for doctor appointments. .Here is a poem that I like. I hope you enjoy it and have a happy Thanksgiving.
NOVEMBER
November is a thankful time,
For every heart is blessed
As we celebrate the harvest
When Nature's at her best.
The dignity of human labor
Is proudly on display
As people come together
In prayer Thanksgiving Day.
As we pause to count
our blessings,
We feel God's presence there,
For November's a
thankful time
We consecrate with prayer.
