Animal Shelter needs help now more than ever

TO THE EDITOR:

I remind our readers to remember our animal shelter at Christmas.

This time of year our animal shelter needs help more than ever. Times are difficult and more than ever we are finding the deplorable situation of abandoned and suffering animals.

I urge you to please bring lost or unwanted cats and dogs to our animal shelter where they can be cared for. Dumpsters are not for kittens and puppies.

Our town now has a cat sanctuary, called Funny Farm, a licensed co-op that helps with our shelter overflow of cats. There are beautiful cats and kittens of every description, all adults are spayed and neutered, and ready to go.

This is the place to get your special loving and purring cat. I know. I’ve been there. Call Colleen at 706-401-5874 before visiting Funny Farm.

Why not honor someone with a gift for the animals, or drop some change in our little banks around town. I speak for all animal lovers. We need your help and we thank you.

Visit the Animal Shelter at 358 Brown Drive. Hours are 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Or send a donation to P.O. Box 352.
