We had a good attendance at Clifford’s Grove Baptist Church Sunday. The little children and their teachers are working hard getting ready for the Christmas program on December 19. The play they will present is titled “One Starry Night.” We are really looking forward to that night. .My sister-in-law, Elizabeth Huff, passed away Thursday, December 3. James and I went with Philip and Mae Dell to Greenwood, S.C., Monday of this week to attend her funeral. .Pam McCarty and Cheryle Holsclaw went to Jackson on Thanksgiving Day for a family gathering at the home of Tony and Angie Williamson. .Paul Duffy had supper with Janet and Scott Blaine Friday night. On Sunday afternoon Tim Worley of Athens and his brother Scott Worley, who was visiting him from California, visited them. .Pam McCarty attended a Christmas party with friends at the home of Melissa Burgess in Lincolnton Tuesday night. .Pam and Ricky McCarty attended their Sunday School Christmas party at Ebenezer Baptist Church Friday night. .Daniel Braxton of Augusta and his friend had lunch with Judy and James Braxton, then spent the afternoon. .When a woman steals your husband, there is no better revenge than to let her keep him.
