The Washington Woman’s Club will have a soup and chili luncheon on Saturday, December 12, during the Christmas Tour of Homes.

A choice of homemade soups and chilies, desserts and beverages will be available for the luncheon which will be served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m at the clubhouse on North Alexander Avenue. Available will be vegetable beef soup, potato soup, Sante Fe soup, chili and cornbread.

Cost will be an $8.00 donation to benefit the 2010 Wilkes County Relay for Life scheduled for May 7-8.

Relay For Life in Washington- Wilkes is a partnership with the American Cancer Society representing the community’s effort to take up the fight against cancer. Washington-Wilkes recognizes those lost to cancer, those living with and fighting cancer, and supports elimination of cancer by generating funds for research at the national level.
