Relay for Life set for May


Carol Jackson (left) was the speaker at the Washington Optimist Club’s December meeting at the Fitzpatrick Hotel. She talked to the club about Wilkes County’s American Cancer Society Relay for Life event which is scheduled for May 2010. She described the different parts of the event and their significance for cancer survivors, their family and friends, and the memorials for those who did not survive.
