Primary school kids raise funds with pigs
An annual pig race is the high point for students and staff of Washington-Wilkes Primary School who have raised some $6,500 for field trips, incentive programs, and for technology purchases this year. "Each child who sold 15 items or more was invited to enter the Pig Race," the PTG's Tracie Burriss said. The winner of the race was Caleb Hiatt (on right) and the overall top seller was A.J. Price (left). Both won $50 for their efforts and a cookie party for their class.
