Annual UCAP breakfast will celebrate King’s life Jan. 16
The annual celebration of the life of the late Martin Luther King Jr. will begin in Wilkes County with the annual United Community Awareness Program (UCAP) annual breakfast January 16, 2010, at the Third Shiloh building on McLendon Drive, Washington, at 8:30 a.m.
Price of the tickets for the breakfast is $6.00 and may be purchased at the door.
The MLK Jr. program will be held Sunday, January 17, at Springfield Baptist Church at 3 p.m.
The UCAP parade will be held Monday, January 18, at 1:00 p.m. Line-up will be at 12:00 noon at the old Washington-Wilkes Comprehensive High School on Hospital Drive. The price to enter a float in the parade is $10.00.
