in Europe’s cultural centers
Early last month, Becky and Jerry Stover and Kermit Hocutt took their News-Reporter to visit Anna Stover, who currently lives in London, England. They stayed for five days in London and then took the train to Paris, France, for a few days. Here they are in front of Tower Bridge, London, and also where Jerry met a fellow Rotarian at the Charles Dickens Christmas festival. At the Louvre Museum in Paris, Kermit tried to restore a little decency to one of the sculptures. This News- Reporter is 4,147 and 4,308 miles from home. (Editor’s note: Kermit
brought these pictures to The News-
Reporter last week. He told us that when we first started
running the “Where in the World” feature, he thought
it was one of the silliest things he’d ever seen – then
it became the first thing he looked for in every issue.
Kermit departed this life on Sunday morning, January
3, and left all of Washington with fond memories of his
life of joy, his love of others and service to them, and
his always evident exhuberant love of life. It is in loving
memory of all he meant to so many that we publish
these pictures of his recent trip abroad.)
