Funeral services for Thomas Dennis Bradford, 70, of Thomson were held Sunday, January 17, 2010, at Beggs Funeral Home Chapel, Thomson, with Dr. James M. Ramsey officiating. He died Friday, January 15, at his home.

Mr. Bradford was a native of Lincoln County and had lived in Thomson for the past 35 years. He was the son of Juanita McCall Bradford of Washington and the late Thomas A. Bradford of Lincolnton. He was a retired freight driver for Pepsico and Spartan Express and an avid gardener. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Thomson.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce Perdue Smith Bradford of Thomson; a son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Melissa Bradford of Sherwood, Illinois; a daughter and son-in-law, Tonya and Bill Gowan of Thomson; a brother, Terry Bradford, Washington; a sister, Trudie Sutherland of Washington; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association of the American Diabetes Association.

Hopkins Funeral Home of Washington was in charge of arrangements.
