Tigers looking for a win this weekend
Akeimos Coleman, the Tigers’ leading scorer, averages 14 points per game.
The Tiger boys basketball team had a tough week suffering a pair of losses while notching only a single win. Coming up this Friday, W-W will host Warren County in a “must-win” situation “if we want to do anything” in the post-season, according to Head Coach Don Keiser.
Losses this week came at the hands of Aquinas (61-65) and, for the first time ever under Keiser, Lincoln County (72-81). But the Tigers rebounded on Saturday with a win over Glascock, hopefully gaining some momentum to carry into the Warren game this weekend.
Against Glascock, Eric Scott led the way for the Tigers with a double-double pumping in 22 points while pulling down 11 rebounds. Poody Jones had 14 points and Dez Jackson scored an even dozen. Neko Jones and Matson Keiser (12 assists) added to the effort with nine and eight points, respectively.
Scoring against Lincoln County was by Coleman (19), Scott (16), Jones (9), Keiser (9), and Neko Jones (8).
At Aquinas, Coleman again led the way with 14 points followed by Jackson (10), Scott (9), Keiser (9), and Poody Jones (8).
