Registration will begin for the 2010 Washington-Wilkes Little League January 28 and will continue until March 5.

Registration will be in the upstairs office at Ashley Park. On Thursdays and Fridays, times for sign-up will be from 4-6 p.m., and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon.

The fee for all leagues this year will be $45.00 and must be paid at the time of registration. There will be no late registration.

Age categories are for tee ball, 5-6 year-olds; mighty mites, 7-8 yearolds; minor league baseball, 9-10 year-olds; major league baseball, 11-12 year-olds; and senior baseball, 13-16 year-olds.

For softball, junior girls are 9-12 years old; and senior girls are 13-16 years old.

For baseball the birthday cutoff is May 1. Tee ball players must be five years old by May 1. For softball, players must be 9 years old by January 1, and not older than 16.

Tryouts are scheduled for Saturday, March 6. Minor league baseball will be from 10 a.m. to noon; major league, noon-3 p.m.; girls softball ages 9-12 will be from 10-noon. All players in these age groups need to attend tryouts.
