Wills Memorial Hospital will hold low impact classes every Tuesday morning from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the education room at the Simpson Building, located between the hospital and Wilkes County Health Department. New Ford Baptist Church in Wilkes County will celebrate black history month with a 3 p.m. worship experience on February 14. Guest speaker will be Rev. Charles E. Goodman Jr., pastor of the Tabernacle Baptist Church in Augusta. The Note Singers will sing several “note songs” in the tradition of many of the church elders and foreparents in the black church.

Jackson Chapel AME Church will have its black history program Sunday, February 28, at 11 a.m. The guest speaker will be Eddie Lee Ivery of McDuffie County, a former professional All-American football player who played running back for eight seasons for the Green Bay Packers.

The Bereavement Support Group sponsored by Wills Memorial Hospital will meet Wednesday, February 10, at 1 p.m., in the hospital library. The meeting is open to the public and focuses on the sharing of experiences and changes to everyday living that have come about by the loss of a loved one. The program is facilitated by Rev. The Mary Willis Library will close at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday during the winter months due to budget cuts.
