South Carolina man injured in Rayle accident


Wilkes County EMS personnel and Rayle first responders put an injured South Carolina man into a county ambulance Thursday after the man lost control of his Cadillac Escalade on Highway 78 just east of Centerville Road. The SUV left the road to the right and the driver may have overcorrected, swerving across the highway and into a yard where the SUV hit a tree. The man was taken to Athens Regional Hospital’s trauma center for treatment. The Georgia State Patrol is investigating the accident.
