We had a very good attendance at Clifford’s Grove Baptist Church Sunday, including a number of visitors. After services a delicious covered dish meal was served in the fellowship hall, then a shower honoring Amanda Woods and Curry Hogan was held. They received many nice and useful gifts. ƒWe are glad Mrs. Martin is recovering nicely from her surgery and will be able to be back with us Sunday. ƒJames and I were among the seniors who attended the lunch and program at Tignall Baptist Church Tuesday morning. The guest speaker was Rev. Doug Butts of Georgia Baptist Foundation. After his talk on Christian estate planning, a delicious soup and sandwich lunch was enjoyed. ƒJames and Judy Braxton visited James Braxton III and little Emmie in Hull Friday morning. ƒJoyce Bradford and Tonya Gowan of Thomson joined Mrs. Juanita Bradford and Trudy Sutherland and attended worship service at Clifford's Grove Sunday. ƒJames and I went to Phillips Mill Baptist Church Sunday night and enjoyed the music and songs by Squire Parsons and his son, Samuel. He wrote most of the songs he sang, which included "Beulah Land." That is a favorite of so many. ƒHappy birthday wishes to my granddaughter, Whitney Branham, who is 16 today, Thursday, February 4. It is hard for me to realize she has reached that age. ƒLive today to the fullest, because tomorrow is not a promise.
