Lila Mae Callaway Swanson was honored on the occasion of her 90th birthday at a party at Iron Hill Baptist Church in Acworth on January 25.

Among the family and friends present to help her celebrate were her sisters, Mary Pittman, Evelyn Bridges, Rachel Johnson, and nephew, James Callaway, who surprised her by attending from Washington- Wilkes.

Mrs. Swanson was born in Wil- kes County and is the daughter of the late Robert Thomas and Nellie Carlton Callaway. She is the mother of eight children, three of whom are deceased; and the grandmother, great-grandmother and great-greatgrandmother of too many to count.

She currently resides at Golden Living Center at 613 Roseland Street in Marietta, 30060, for those who wish to remember with birthday wishes.
