Registration for the 2010 Washington Wilkes Little League has begun and will continue until March 5.

Registration is in the upstairs office at Ashley Park. On Thursdays and Fridays, times for sign-up will be from 4-6 p.m., and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon.

The fee for all leagues this year will be $45.00 and must be paid at the time of registration. There will be no late registration.

Age categories are for tee ball, 5-6 year-olds; mighty mites, 7-8 yearolds; minor league baseball, 9-10 year-olds; major league baseball, 11-12 year-olds; and senior baseball, 13-16 year-olds.

For softball, junior girls are 9-12 years old; and senior girls are 13-16 years old.

For baseball the birthday cutoff is May 1. Tee ball players must be five years old by May 1. For softball, players must be 9 years old by January 1, and not older than 16.

Tryouts are scheduled for Saturday, March 6. Minor league baseball will be from 10 a.m. to noon; major league, noon-3 p.m.; girls softball ages 9-12 will be from 10-noon. All players in these age groups need to attend tryouts.
