Team captains participating in Relay for Life met February 2 and discussed plans for the upcoming relay May 7 and 8. Plans are underway for the Wilkes County Relay for Life for cancer research, and team captains met last week to consider ways to help their teams raise funds for the Relay.

About 20 teams are already signed up and many are having fund-raisers.

The Relay for Life for Wilkes County will be held on May 7 and 8, between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m.
