Washington Police Chief Mike Davis spoke to a Tea and Learn event last week on the subject of home invasion. At the session hosted by Wills Memorial Hospital, Davis told participants that there are over 8,000 home invasions every day in the U.S. He explained the difference between home invasion and burglary, and described how home invaders uses ruses to get residents to open their doors. “Use caution when opening your door and keep doors and windows locked to prevent these problems,” he said.
