Funeral services for Albert Stephens Rhodes Jr., 71, of Mc- Donough, were held Tuesday, February 16, 2010, at Beulah Baptist Church, with Rev. Jamie Callaway and Rev. Virgil Manning officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery. He died Sunday, February 14, at Vitas Hospice in Stockbridge. Interment was in the church cemetery.

Mr. Rhodes was the son of the late Albert S. and Lunelle Beard Rhodes, and was a native of Wilkes County. He grew up in the Beulah community and had been living in McDonough since 1961. He retired from the shipping department at Hormel Foods in 1991. He was a

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Moss Rhodes of McDonough; a son and daughter-in-law, Derrick and Becky Rhodes of Mt. Washington, Ky.; and daughter and sonin law, Sheree and Britt Mills of McDonough; three brothers, Robert Sanders Rhodes, Edward Rhodes, and William Rhodes, all of Tignall; four sisters, Sarah Frances Henderson, Tignall, Betty Reese, Washington, Barbara Oakley, Hampton, and Patsy Mack, Tignall; and four grandchildren, Blake Mills, Kyle Mills, Stephen Rhodes, and Ginny Rhodes.

Beggs Funeral Home of Lincolnton was in charge of arrangements.
