FBC Adult Bible Searchers enjoy Valentine dinner
The Adult Bible Searchers Sunday School Class of the First Baptist Church gathered Thursday evening, February 11, for a Valentine dinner and fellowship at The Fitzpatrick Hotel on The Square.
The dining room featured festive Valentine decorations. Fluffy red hearts decorated the piano. Tables featured beautiful red and deep pink camellias floating in clear glass vases nestled in sparkling red puddle fabric. Votives were interspersed with decorative Valentine boxes and camellias in accenting fabrics atop white cloths. Each couple’s place was marked by a Valentine motif bowl of candies and other goodies that were favors to each couple.
Class president, Pug Nelms, welcomed everyone and Tom Wells offered the blessing for the meal and also remembered those in the community with illness, sadness and other special needs.
Members enjoyed a delicious salad, entrée of choice and dessert.
After dinner Teresa Bishop entertained members with several trivia games and readings and prizes were awarded to the winners.
Attending were Kerry and Nancy McAvoy, Wayne and Sharon Williamson, James and Linda Smith, David and Gail Hunter, Bill and Jackie Gillispie, Ira and Ann Tiller, Jim and Shelby Caddell, Bill and Teresa Bishop, Pug and Kay Nelms, Paulette George, Dickie Garrard, Gary and Dean Mansfield, Travis and Bettye Armour, Jeff and Lisa Franklin, Tom and Melanie Wells, Ray and Priscilla Moore, Mike and Phyllis Scarborough and Edward and Susan Pope.
