FBLA members represent W-W at CTSO Day at state capitol

Governor Sonny Perdue proclaimed Tuesday, February 9 as Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO) Day at the Georgia State Capitol. All CTSO groups were represented at the state capital including Future Business Leaders of America. Wilkes County was represented by Jessica Spradlin, Georgia FBLA Region 15 president; Michael Edwards, Georgia FBLA Region 15 secretary; and their adviser, Tanya Morgan.

The event began with a luncheon

COMPETITIVE at the Georgia Depot across the street from the Georgia State Capitol which included state representatives, CTSO officers, CTSO advisers, and other state leaders. The group was addressed by each CTSO State President; Mrs. Kathy Cox, State

MO688 Superintendent of Schools; and the Honorable David Ralston, Speaker of the House. Representative Brooks Coleman joined the WWCHS FBLA group for the luncheon.

After the luncheon, CTSO advisers and officers were allowed to tour the Georgia Capitol. The event was concluded with a picture of every CTSO officer on the steps inside the Capitol.
