Lucy Helen Harden Adams
A memorial service for Lucy Helen Harden Adams, 100, formerly of Tignall, was held Wednesday, February 17, 2010, in the Tignall Baptist Church after interment in the church cemetery. She died February 15 in Northside Health Care, Gadsden, Ala.
Mrs. Adams was a native of Hogansville, and was the daughter of the late Hershel Virgil Harden and the late Willie Lou Sims Harden. She was the widow of Jesse Norman Adams of Tignall and had taught music in the Tignall school. She was a member of Bellevue United Methodist Church in Gadsden, Ala. She was organist and pianist for the Tignall Baptist Church for many years and also played for church in Alabama and Texas.
Survivors include a daughterin law, Margaret Adams of Gadsden, Ala.; two granddaughters, Jessica Adams O’Bryant and her husband David, Gadsden, Ala., and Samantha Adams Gilleland and her husband David of Van, Texas; three great-grandchildren, Jaden O’Bryant, Brooklyn Gilleland, and Bailey Gilleland.
Hopkins Funeral Home of Washington was in charge of arrangements.
