Eye surgeon speaks at hospital


Dr. Gus Sams presented a program on glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration to the Lunch and Learn program at Wills Memorial Hospital last week. Associated with Athens Eye Doctors and Surgeons, Dr. Sams sees patients at Wilkes Eye Center on Thursdays and performs surgery at Wills Memorial. The next Tea and Learn program will be on Wednesday, March 10, in the Simpson Building next to the hospital. Bruce Bailey will speak on advanced directives and DNR orders.
