We had good services at Clifford’s Grove Baptist Church Sunday. Our special prayers continue for Charles Pullen who is still a patient in the Medical College of Georgia Hospital and Dianne who is constantly by his bedside. Our latest report is that he was feeling a little better Sunday morning. He, Dianne, Karmen, Samuel, and Hannah Grace are being greatly missed. Lanette Drinkard is recovering from her surgery and we are glad she is able to be back with us. ƒDavid Hopkins of Augusta and his grandson Seth stopped by for a short visit Saturday morning after doing target practice at the campsite. ƒJames and Judy Braxton enjoyed having James III and little Emmie of Hull for the day Wednesday. On Friday they went to Hull to sit with Emmie while her daddy needed to be out for a while. ƒSpending the weekend with Ricky and Pam McCarty was her sister, Gail Hammock, of Warwick Sunday, Pam and Gail went to Madison to visit their uncle, Bill Davis. ƒCongratulations to Bart and Viranya Filipiak of Hickory, N.C., on the birth of their daughter, Norah Dee, on February 19. Elaine and Roch Filipiak are the proud grandparents. Elaine went to Hickory last week to meet little Norah. ƒThis has been a slow week, at least for us. Not much is going on. There were days that I did not even go outside. Cold wind hurts. ƒThe two best times to keep your mouth shut are when you're swimming and when you're angry.
