Retired educators offer seniors chance to earn honorarium
High school seniors from Wilkes and Lincoln counties may apply for an honorarium sponsored by the Lincoln-Wilkes Retired Educators Association (LWREA).
Students who apply must be planning to attend a college or vocational school for the 2010-2011 academic year and must write a 250-500 word essay on the topic “The Importance of Furthering My Education.”
Applicants should provide a cover page with name, date, name of high school, and the name of the college or vocational school that they plan to attend.
Deadline for the essay to be submitted to the student’s high school counselor is Wednesday, March 31, 2010.
