Ty Herndon raises funds for Relay

Country and gospel music star Ty Herndon sings one of his new songs from his soon-to-be-released album Sunday afternoon at a fund-raiser for the Wilkes County Relay for Life at Washington’s First Baptist Church. More than 150 attended the concert and in a free-will offering donated more than $600 to help fight cancer in Wilkes County. Herndon was introduced by Calli Nickels, for whom he had given a benefit concert in Tignall in December. Herndon and Daniel Kirkley, his opening act, stayed to meet their fans and sign autographs after the concert.
