Georgia State Patrol investigates crashes during month of Feb.

State Troopers from the Washington Post of the Georgia State Patrol investigated 10 traffic crashes during the month of February in Wilkes County. Sergeant First Class Andrews said the traffic crashes resulted in three injuries. There were no traffic deaths.

SFC Andrews said troopers from Post 17 also issued 135 traffic citations in the county during the month. The total includes five arrests for driving under the influence; 86 citations for speeding; 16 seat belt violations; and one child restraint violation. Troopers also issued 160 warnings.
