Funeral services for Barry Dean Dunn, 46, were held Thursday, March 4, 2010, at Young’s Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Dennis J. Quinn officiating. The interment was in the church cemetery. He died Sunday, February 28, at his residence in Hull.

Mr. Dunn was a native of Wilkes County and was the son of the late Charles Dye and the late Jessie Lou D. Anderson. He attended Washington Wilkes Comprehensive High School, was a member of Young’s Chapel Baptist Church, and was a skilled carpenter.

Survivors include four sons, Dontidius, Markeith, Dankeis Wylie, all of Washington, and Markeith Wylie of Athens; a grandson, Jaylen Wylie, Washington; a sister, Jacqueline D. Quinn, Washington; two brothers, Frederick Dye, Washington, and Core Dye, North Carolina; and godmothers, Bertha Sims and Annie Sims, both of Washington.

Cousins served as pallbearers.

Davenport-McLendon Mortuary Inc. of Washington was in charge of arrangements.
