Amanda Thornton Brooks was honored at a baby shower Saturday, February 20, given by Tammy Echols and daughter, Taylor, Angie Thornton and daughter, Laney, and Caroline Thornton at the Echols home on the Thomson Road.

Mrs. Brooks was presented a corsage of white lacy baby socks in honor of the occasion.

Guests enjoyed a delicious buffet of party foods that included chicken salad croissants, hot spinach dip and chips, grapes, cheese straws, cake squares and pink lemonade and water.

The hostesses presented Mrs. Brooks a brown and pink diaper bag filled with baby necessities.

Thirty guests attended and included the prospective grandmothers, Pam Hammond of Bradley, S.C., and Lynda Brooks of Gibson; and great-grandmothers, Reba Thornton of Washington and Alma Hammond of Anderson, S.C.
