Woman’s Club meeting includes discussion of 2010 Tour of Homes

The 2010 Tour of Homes was the topic of discussion at the meeting of the Woman’s Club Monday, March 8, at the clubhouse.

Dean Mansfield, first vice-president, presided in the absence of Vivian Walker, president. She thanked hostess, Janet Burgess, who decorated the clubhouse in a St. Patrick’s Day theme with shamrocks and other theme accents.

Alice Lindsey, chaplain, offered the devotional, “The Most Beautiful Flower,” which was a poem to say goodbye to winter. She also led in prayer and the Pledge to the Flag.

Welcomed guests were Debbie Barnett and Amy Echols.

Following the delicious luncheon, the business meeting was held.

Amy Johnston announced the nominating committee would present a slate in April with an installation to follow in May.

Carol Jackson led the discussion concerning the Tour of Homes that will be the first weekend in April. Assignments were made and other topics were reviewed. Everyone was encouraged to help with the event.

Twenty-four members and guests attended.
