Baseball supporters appreciate turnout and participation TO THE EDITOR:

2010-03-18 / News

On behalf of the Tiger baseball parents, coaches, and players, we want to express our gratitude to our supporters in the community. On February 27, 2010, we held a “Tiger Baseball Day” to raise funds for a new sound system for the baseball field as well as new uniforms and equipment. The event was a great success thanks to all those involved.

Many of the moms made homemade chili, grilled hot dogs were sold, drinks were donated, and homemade cookies topped it off! Raffle tickets were sold and over 35 prizes were awarded which were donated by our families and business owners. The new sound system has been installed by Harris Blackmon and it sounds awesome.

Our thanks go out to the following: The News-Reporter, W-W Tiger Club, Boot Rack, Tangles Hair Salon, Restore Galore, W-W Country Club, Andrews Quick Lube, Arbonne Ginny King and Lisa Meister, McDonald’s, Post Oak Farms, Bee Southern, Auto Plus of Washington, Blackburn’s Garage, Anthony Forest Products, Wood Specialty Co., Dowdle/ Piedmont Propane, Washington Jockey Club, Therapeutic Massage, Martin Equipment Repair, McAvoy Timberland Services., Savannah Lakes Marina, Soap Creek Marina, Palmer Equipment Co., Zaxby’s, Bi-Lo, Ingles, Surrell’s, and Lizzie and Justin Holmes.

Thanks again for all the support! You can also show your support by joining us during baseball season at Tiger Field.
