High school, middle school to hold open house Mon.
Washington-Wilkes Comprehensive High School (W-WCHS) and Washington-Wilkes Middle School (W-WMS) have announced Monday, March 22, as the date of a joint open house for parents and students of each school.
Between the hours of 3:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m., parents may meet with their children’s teachers during this, the last open house of the 2009-10 school year. Parents of WWCHS students will also be asked to complete an online survey in the media center before leaving.
“It is the desire of both W-WCHS and W-WMS to enhance parent/ school communications,” Steve Echols, high school principal said. “We are committed to monitoring student progress and providing opportunities for parents to be informed and address concerns they may have. Through preventive measures and parent/school collaboration, the students of WWCHS and W-WMS can experience greater success. So, please come out and support this event, meet the educators involved in your child’s life, and learn about wonderful things happening at W-WCHS and W-WMS.”
