Graveside services for Alma Thornton Gilreath, 82, of South Pecan Street, Washington, were held Saturday, March 13, 2010, in Resthaven Cemetery with Rev. Albert W. Huyck Jr. officiating.

Mrs. Gilreath was a native of Wilkes County, and was the daughter of the late T.C. and Ruth Thornton. She worked at Royal Manufacturing Co. for a number of years as a supervisor, and was a member of the First Baptist Church, Washington.

Survivors include her husband, Jeff Gilreath of Washington; a daughter, Brenda Manget, Newnan; a grandson, John W. Sapp III; a great-grandson, Brandon T. Sapp; and two great-granddaughters, Jillian and Ramona Sapp.

Hopkins Funeral Home of Washington was in charge of arrangements.
