Funeral services for Eliza Norman Harper, 90, were held Sunday, March 14, 2010, at the Trinity Baptist Church, Tignall, with Pastor Ease officiating. She died Tuesday, March 9.

Mrs. Harper was a native of Lincoln County and was the daughter of the late Isiah Norman and Julia Starks. She was a member of New Tabernacle, Tignall; first lady of Thankful Baptist Church, Tignall, for 25 years, and first lady of Langston Grove Baptist Church, Thomson, where her late husband, Rev. Thomas W. Harper, was the senior pastor. They had 10 children.

Survivors include sons and daughters and spouses, Ruby Chillers, Washington, D.C.; Geraldine and Tommie spratt, Richmond, Texas; Rev. Thom and Cynthia Harper, Rev. Roger and Doris Harper, all of Waller, Texas; W.C. and Mary Harper Booklyn, N.Y.; Maudell and John McCurry, Allentown, Penn.; Bessie and Rev. Clarence Clark, Easton, Penn; Lois Conway, Detroit, Mich.;Judy and Lyman Moon, Easley, S.C.; Sam and Janet Harper, Houston, Texas; Barbara Walton, Detroit, Mich. Grandchildren, Michael Stokes, Yolanda Wright, Tirshontha Harper, Michelle Booth, Arron Breazeale, Timothy Chillers, Jamel McCurry, Antwan Conway, Tiffany Jones, Nicole Conway, Crystal Harper, Sumeiko McCurry, Julian Earle, Patrick Harper, Samantha Harper, Tia Adams, Tasha Harper; and many great-grandchildren.

McLendon Memorial Funeral Home of Washington was in charge of arrangements.
